Foundation and reason
Founded in Bulle in 2009, the Los Lorentes Foundation is recognized by the Swiss government and has no commercial or profit-making aims.
Purpose of the Foundation
The purpose of the Foundation is to create a fund to develop and support people, activities, projects, organizations or associations working in connection with the mission of Jesus Christ.
The founders’ intention is to give their neighbors the opportunity to grow spiritually, physically or morally thanks to God’s generosity towards them. This is their desire to respect God’s Word: “Therefore, while we have the opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to our brothers and sisters in the faith” (Galatians 6; 10).
Supreme body
The Foundation is administered by a Foundation Board of at least three members, whose chairman is always a member of the founders’ family.
The foundation of our faith
We believe that all Scripture (Bible) is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. (2 Timothy 3; 16)
We believe in the Trinity according to 2 Corinthians 13; 13: May the grace of the Lord Jesus, the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all!
We believe in the mission handed down by Jesus: The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor; he has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord! (Gospel of Luke 4; 18 – 20)
